Education and Experience
Presenter, ASHA Conference in Orlando, Florida, 2019
Caroline has worked in public education in grades K-12 since 2016. Caroline also has experience working in skilled nursing facilities and in teletherapy. Working with children, Caroline diagnoses and treats children who need support in the areas of speech articulation, fluency, oral expression, listening comprehension, and social communication. While many SLP’s only work with children or adults, Caroline has continued to develop her knowledge in both areas by practicing as an SLP per diem at skilled nursing facilities in the Champlain Valley of Vermont.
Prior to becoming a Speech-Language Pathologist, Caroline worked in food and nutrition education in Burlington, Vermont, with a focus on farm-to-school programs. She previously studied Social Anthropology (Master of Arts, New York University) and Music (Bachelor of Arts, The College of William and Mary). Caroline is bilingual, having grown up speaking English and German.
Caroline has presented at the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Conference in 2019. In addition to pursuing other continuing education, Caroline has completed introductory training in Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets (PROMPT). Caroline was awarded a Graduate Student Fellowship to attend the University of Vermont for her Master of Science degree.
