Speech
Caroline evaluates and treats all aspects of speech, including sound articulation, stuttering, and phonology - knowledge of the sound system in the English language that is essential for learning to read and write. Caroline also has experience working with children and adults who use assistive technology (AAC) to communicate.
Language
Effective communication includes the ability to understand information and to express ideas successfully through speaking and writing. Caroline uses a variety of tools to help children, teens, and adults comprehend information and organize their ideas orally and in writing.
Social Communication
Caroline helps children, teens, and adults understand the rules of social communication. Examples of this include greeting others, initiating conversations, asking questions, maintaining topics, using humor, and understanding and using non-verbal communication.
